Our quaint waterside village of Picton (1 km away) leads to the diverse province of Marlborough & the beautiful Sounds. An unforgettable area, whether a water or land lover... cruising, sailing, swimming, kayaking, fishing... or catch one of the many boat trips available for dolphin watching, mail deliveries or a visit to a marine reserve & bird sanctuary.

Sounds and Seafood

On land, take a tour to sample the gourmet food & wine of the area (with bus pick-up at our gate!). Craft trails, golf, mountain biking, skiing (1 1/2 hours away), local short bush walks... or tramp the Queen Charlotte Track, 3 nights/4 days to complete, or walk a section as a day excursion.
